Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide reliable, professional water well drilling services through disciplined planning, honest communication, and transparent pricing. We are committed to delivering dependable water solutions while upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and workmanship on every project.
Why It Matters
Northern Idaho is growing. Community banks project 5% annual rural development growth over the next five years. Real estate agents report waitlists extending well beyond two years.
That means developers can't break ground. Homeowners can't close on construction loans without GPM testing. Agricultural operations can't expand irrigation systems. The demand is there. The infrastructure isn't.
We built Trident Drilling to close that gap, with 2-4 day project completion, transparent worst-case pricing, and the kind of integrity that doesn't compromise when geology gets difficult.
If you need a well drilled in Northern Idaho and you're tired of 2-year waitlists, vague pricing, and contractors who don't return calls, Trident Drilling is your alternative.
We're taking deposits for the 2026 drilling season.
What Makes Us Different
Most drilling companies operate the same way: vague phone estimates, months-long delays, pricing that changes once the rig shows up. We built a different system.
Mario Ramey, Licensed Driller, brings 23 years of leadership experience in complex, high-risk environments. Before launching Trident Drilling, he completed a strategic fellowship with an established drilling operation in Oregon, gaining practical, region-specific expertise in Northern Idaho’s geology—including fractured basalt, granite formations, and the Spokane Valley–Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. He oversees field operations and ensures every project meets safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
Jeffrey Hamaker, retired Navy SEAL, brings 21 years of combined operational and leadership experience. He handles client communication, project planning, scheduling, and coordination. If you work with Trident Drilling, Jeffrey ensures you know exactly what to expect, when to expect it, and what it will cost, before the drill bit touches ground.
Jake Howell, Licensed Driller, brings 25 years of technical expertise in North Idaho groundwater conditions. He specializes in adapting drilling techniques to changing subsurface geology, fractured basalt, granite formations, and the Spokane Valley-Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer. That matters when you're drilling 100 to 400 feet into unpredictable conditions.
As an Idaho-licensed water well drilling contractor with full liability and workers' compensation insurance, we maintain veteran-owned business certification and Better Business Bureau membership. Mario and Jake both hold Idaho Licensed Driller credentials, ensuring every project meets state regulatory and safety standards.
Who We Serve
We specialize in residential well drilling for new construction, replacement wells, well deepening, and emergency water access. If you're a homeowner building off-grid or replacing a failed well, we provide the education, planning, and execution you need to make informed decisions.
We handle commercial and agricultural drilling for large-capacity wells, irrigation systems, government contracts, and industrial water supply solutions. Our veteran-owned business certification gives us access to government contract work. Our systematic project coordination ensures drilling windows align with construction schedules and bank-required GPM testing.
We also offer well maintenance and repair, water quality testing coordination, well destruction (abandonment) services, and consultation on pump systems and site evaluation.
How We Operate
We offer transparent, worst-case scenario pricing before we start. You get a detailed written quote through our Jobber CRM system, complete with educational materials and local well log data. No hidden fees. No scope creep. No surprises.
We complete most residential well drilling projects in 2 to 4 days. Commercial and agricultural projects typically take 2 to 5 days, depending on depth and capacity requirements. Compare that to waiting two years just to get on the schedule.
We've maintained an 80% lead-to-quote conversion rate and an estimated 60-70% quote-to-project conversion rate. Those numbers reflect our process: in-person site visits, plain-language explanations, and execution to plan.
We call this our Mission-Ready Drilling Protocol, the same systematic planning we used in military operations, applied to every well project. We don't oversell timelines, depth, or yield. We communicate realistic expectations based on geological research, regional well logs, and decades of hands-on experience drilling in Northern Idaho's challenging conditions.
